Licensing and use of my visuals
Saving my visuals for yourself is always free. Sharing them is free with credit. Implementing them as part of your work needs a licence.
Sharing means passing it along: posting it, reposting it so others find it, sending it to someone with a “look at this”. Free, as long as my name and a path back to my work are visible.
Implementing means the visual is doing a deliberate job inside your classroom, practice or sessions. You are not pointing people to my work, you are using it to support your own. That needs a licence.

Not included
- Implementing my work as part of what you teach, practice, or offer. That is not sharing, that is implementing
- Sharing without clear attribution. If there is no visible path back to me, a licence applies
- Displaying it in front of a specific audience as a deliberate part of your session, class, or presentation
Credit requirement: on social media, tag @growthbyvisuals or mention growthbyvisuals.com. In closed platforms where tagging is not possible, include my name and Instagram handle or website visibly alongside the image. Do not crop, edit, or remove any watermark or branding before sharing.

Credit requirement: whenever the visual appears in a public-facing context, such as a website, course or presentation, please credit Hidde Douna / Growth by Visuals as the source. The watermark must remain visible and intact. You may not remove, crop, or obscure the branding.

Credit requirement: Hidde Douna / Growth by Visuals must be credited in any public-facing use. The watermark must remain visible and intact on all versions. Internal use, such as a poster on an office wall, does not require active crediting, but the watermark must remain on the image.

What is never permitted
No licence, paid or free, grants the following. These need a separate written agreement with me.
Commercial exploitation
- Running paid advertisements featuring the visual, on Meta, Google, YouTube, or any platform
- Creating and selling merchandise using the visual: prints, clothing, phone cases, or any product
- Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the visual or file in any form
- Including the visual in a product, template, or download that others can purchase or access
Derivative and AI use
- Modifying, remixing, or creating derivative works based on the visual
- Adding your own logo, branding, or watermark to the visual. This is strictly forbidden without specific written permission
- Removing, cropping, or altering any watermark or branding
- Using the visual as training data for AI models or any machine learning application
- Tracing, recreating, or closely imitating my illustration style for commercial purposes
Broadcast and media use
- Use in television, film, streaming content, or YouTube video ads
- Press or editorial publication without prior written permission
- NFT creation or any blockchain-based tokenization of the visual
Organizational overreach
- Using a single-person licence across multiple people or locations
- Use by a third-party agency or contractor on behalf of their own clients
